Impact of daytime sleepiness underrated

Sleepiness is appropriate and desirable at the usual retiring time. However, there is also a circadian propensity to feel mildly sleepy in the early to mid afternoon (between 2.00 and 5.00 pm). Excessive daytime sleepiness is an important symptom of several chronic sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, insomnia, and periodic limb-movement disorder.
